The team
Per Oddvar Navestad
Per is the conference's project manager, who pulls all the strings. He has been a board member of the ME Association in Rogaland since 2014 and was named Hero of the Year by the Norwegian ME Association in 2021. Per usually works as general manager of O.C. Østraadt AS.
Åse Marie Lønning
Åse Marie is one of the founders of The ME Association in Rogaland. She has been chair of the board for more than 20 years and, together with Per, was named Hero of the Year in 2021. Åse Marie was diagnosed with ME as a child and has been ill for almost 50 years. She works as an artist and conveys hope and comfort through beautiful paintings.
Sissel Sunde
Sissel runs the news page MillionsMissing Stavangeris a blogger and has been involved in the ME cause since 2018. She contracted ME after dengue fever in 2015, and has previously worked for over 20 years in various administrative positions. Sissel was named Hero of the Year by the Norwegian ME Association in 2023.
Kristian Sommerfelt
Kristian is a paediatrician, professor emeritus and responsible for the conference. He is also one of the lecturers, and you will find a short presentation of him under Lecturers.
